Doodle for Google
Doodle for Google is an annual competition held by Google. There are some winning prizes, so it's a great incentive the start off the quarter strong! The winner will actually get their doodle on the front page of google. During this project, students were able to choose any medium they liked, so they were able to explore different mediums and learn different ways of art making through self-discovery. The prompt this year was "I care for myself by..."

After introducing the prompt title, we spoke about what students did to care for themselves. Their resoonses ranged from "eating healthy" to "playing sports" to "playing video games"! We talked about caring can be both for physical and emotional health. That and the ability to choose any medium made for a huge variety in the finished projects!
