6th and 7th Grade

The 6th and 7th grade lessons build drawing skills (such as gridding in the Mona Lisa project and values in the self portraits), as it will be expanded on in 8th grade with my cooperating teacher Mr. Hill. With a focus on observing the world around us, students learned Elements of Design when building their graphic design logos, Doodle for Google designs, Storyboards, and Identity Walls. It also introduced some new forms of art making such as Mola cuts and Sumi-E Ink landscapes that students had never tried before, which they really enjoyed exploring.
