1st and 2nd

The focus of 1st and 2nd grade was on reviewing and learning of the Elements of Art with a soft inclusion of Elements of Design (such as pattern, balance, etc). First Grade hadn’t been in the art classroom yet due to covid and Second only in Kindergarten, so it was important to give a baseline of art understanding. It also introduced a basic understanding of art analysis and storytelling, building the student’s critical thinking skills.
